Paralegal Association Scholarship

Paralegal scholarship from Central Florida Paralegal Association awarded to Centura Institute student for third consecutive year.

An Outstanding Student of Legal StudiesThe Central Florida Paralegal Association ( “CFPA”), is one of the most active and influential paralegal associations in the United States. They have one of the largest memberships in Florida and are actively involved with promoting the interests of the paralegal profession and its members. Each year the CFPA offers substantial scholarships to students who are enrolled in a paralegal or legal studies program in Central Florida. Since 2002, when the Program was expanded to include colleges and universities in the Central Florida area that offer paralegal programs, the total amount of the scholarships have increased and now total $1200.00 with $500.00 going to the first place recipient.

For the last three years, a student at The Centura Institute has been the proud recipient of the top scholarship prize. The winners are selected from a large pool of candidates -- many from two and four year colleges -- and are judged on the basis of outstanding GPAs, career goals, unmet financial need and a winning writing sample. This year’s winner was Ms. Marion Henry. In addition to receiving her top scholarship award of $500.00, she was also honored at the CFPA’s Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet. She also received a free membership to the CFPA. We here at the Centura Institute are of course proud of all of the outstanding and hard working students in the Beta Tech family of schools, but today we extend a special warm congratulations to Ms. Marion Henry.
